Ekészült a “The Floating Seahorse” Dubai első, részben, víz alatti villája, a The World Islands projekt első mérföldköveként. A kép a héten bukkant fel az interneten (2016.04.), mutatva a 42 villából az elsőt, néhány mérföldre a parttól, a mesterséges szigetcsoportot Heart of Europe néven jelzik.
Currently available for purchase for $2.7 million, the floating luxury home has a total of three levels, with one being submerged under water. The main floor will feature an outdoor shower, kitchen, and glass-bottomed Jacuzzi. The underwater level is home to the master bedroom and bathroom, with floor-to-ceiling windows complete with views of life under the sea.
Developer The Kleindienst Group not only wants to offer world-class living quarters, but is also on a mission to protect the local marine life. “We are confident it will set a benchmark in the luxury lifestyle market worldwide for outstanding innovation, contemporary design and underwater living at its best,” said chief executive Josef Kleindienst at the Dubai International Boat Show last March. “The seahorse is an endangered species and we will create an artificial coral reef beneath the luxury retreats which will be a protected area in which seahorses can safely live and breed.”
While the rest of the villas won’t be ready until the end of the year, Dubai is already home to the twin Neptune and Poseidon Underwater Suites at Atlantis, The Palm. For around $8,000 a night, guests have access to similar floor-to-ceiling windows with panoramic views of The Ambassador Lagoon: a three-million-gallon aquarium filled with more than 65,000 marine animals, including sharks and stingrays.
